Arusha National Park is a year-round destination, with each season offering unique experiences. From June to October, the dry season provides ideal conditions for spotting wildlife, climbing Mount Meru, and enjoying clear panoramic views.
During the wet season, November to May, the park transforms into a lush green paradise. Migratory birds join resident species, making it a birdwatcher’s dream. While wildlife is still present, sightings may be more dispersed, adding to the tranquil charm.
Arusha National Park is conveniently located just a 45-minute drive from Arusha town, the main gateway for safaris in northern Tanzania.
The easiest way to get here is by flying into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), about 50km from Arusha. The drive from the airport takes approximately 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly into Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) and take a connecting flight to Arusha Airport (ARK) or JRO.
