Postponements and Changes

• Postponements/Reduced Length of Stay/Reduced Number of Clients - Any changes made after the deposit has been paid will result in the deposit being applied to the new itinerary.
• Lodges and Tented Camps - Some lodges and permanent tented camps have stricter policies regarding loss of deposits, which may result in deductions.

Cancellations

• 14 Days Prior - Cancellations made 14 days before the start of your tour will result in the loss of the amount retained by the respective lodge/lodges/tented camp booked for you.
• 14-8 Days Prior - Cancellations made 14-8 days before the start of your tour will result in a loss of 15% of your deposit from the company’s side plus the amount retained by the lodge/lodges/tented camp.
• 7 Days Prior - Cancellations made 7 days before your tour will result in a loss of 30% of your deposit from the company’s side plus the amount retained by the lodge/lodges/tented camp.
• 7-3 Days Prior - Cancellations made 7-3 days before your tour will result in a loss of 50% of your deposit from the company’s side plus the amount retained by the lodge/lodges/tented camp.
• 3 Days Prior - Cancellations made 3 days before your tour will result in a loss of 100% of your deposit.

Note -All refunds due to cancellations will be less bank charges.

Liability

• Third-Party Services - Safari Journey acts as an agent for hotels, transportation services, and facilities provided by other parties and cannot be held responsible for delays, damage, injuries, loss, accidents, or changes in itinerary due to the negligence of any service provider.
• Rate Changes - The rates quoted are subject to change without prior notice. Confirm the rates at the time of booking.
• Government Fees - All Tanzania government fees are subject to change without notice. Additional taxes, licenses, or fees introduced after the publication of our current rates will be added to your safari account.

Force Majeure

• Definition - Force majeure refers to any event beyond the company’s control that could not have been avoided even with due care. This includes war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activities, natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, fires, and similar events.
• Liability - The company will not accept any liability or pay compensation for delays or lack of performance due to force majeure events.

Insurance

• Recommendation - It is strongly advised to take adequate insurance against all risks for yourself, travel companions, and family members. This should cover cancellations, interruptions, delays, lost/stolen/damaged travel documents, personal property, medical expenses, and emergency transportation.
• Medical Care - Many areas in East Africa are remote, without access to medical facilities or rapid evacuation. The company does not undertake to provide medical care (except for calling in flying doctors) and is not liable for inadequate care provided.

Airlines

• Flight Changes - Safari Journey cannot be held responsible if any airline discontinues flights or changes scheduled timetables resulting in missed connections. If amendments to the routing or itinerary are necessary, we will requote you accordingly.

General

• Currency - All fees are quoted in US Dollars.
• Amendments - Any additions or changes introduced after the publication of our current rates will be communicated as soon as possible.
